How to connect PC to TV? (video and audio)?
What do I need to buy (cable type gueess i) to be able to watch If TV movies on the computer. I have cable monitor that only video and no sound. Help please. I 9800 geforece graphics card. and I 1080i lcd tv 32 ". wat i need to buy cable for audio and video to work
PC to TV connection almost universally disappointing in the end. They may work well for things like using a big screen TV for presentations, but TVs are not replacements for monitors. Especially if you use S-video as your connection, because S-video has a maximum resolution of the order of 576i or PAL standard resolution. However, if you insist on learning outside of yourself, you need to search within the parameters of the map video and make sure that the S-video is selected. On some cards you may have to exit one mode or another. So, if you select the S-video, your monitor will not receive any input. This will probably change your desktop resolution and screw up internships Icon and several other things. If you want to do something a home theater setup, do not use a computer with s-video to do. Spending money to get some set top box or a computer designed to be a home theater system. If you want to use as a monitor, do not even bother with the s-video, your only option. If you use VGA / DVI / HDMI / component connections … While it may work for specific situations. Any other use is probably not worth it either. If using the S-Video .. then you will need to activate it in windows. Right click on the desktop and click Properties. In this window, click the Settings tab and if there are two blue boxes click the one that Mored dimmed. Below you will see a white box by the words "extend my Windows desktop onto this monitor". Click the button and click the Apply button. If it all works after that click OK. If your TV has a DVI / HDMI input, there is a program you can use to adjust the resolution and video timing to match right. I know it works with most ATI and NVidia – and probably others too. It is called PowerStrip3 … I personally use cord VGA … I unscrew from my monitor and connect it to my big screen … but b4 doing this I have to change the resolution to a value lower, or it will start well but then turn empty … but keep in mind not vga audio so u will need a only to male RCA plugs … Jimmy i rigged an old helmet … I took the cap of the helmet and stripped it metal … and took old rca stripped ends .. i soldered the RCA to headphone jack .. sealed it up and it works like a charm … I know … so ghetto … but wasn't out the 8pm to buy 1 so I made 1 in under 10 minutes … … lol .. gl if u have any question just send me an email.
